This Blog discusses Chapter 10 and 11
Chapter ten discusses how to enchant your employees. The
part of the chapter I liked the most was how to empower the employees to do the
right thing. It stated how your best employee
wants to serve and delight your customers.
Money should not be their only motivation. They should know and want to be able to take
care of the customer. You can teach your
employee how to treat the customer well by telling them how to do the right
thing.
Another top chapter ten discussed was on SUCK IT UP! This is basically teaching employees how to
deal with stress and other outside distractions. In certain situations, you just have to suck
thing up and deal with it.
Chapter 11 discus how to enchant your boss. This out of all the chapters is the number
one thing I was really interest in reading.
One thing that is important is to make your boss look good. The book
talked about if your boss looks good, then you look good. You should also drop everything and do what
your boss says to do. It does matter
what they ask, you should do what they ask.
Also it’s good to form a friendship with your boss. Having a friendship makes you more efficient and
effective.
Another topic I like in the book was on how to present bad
news to your boss. You should present
the news in advance and sometimes you may have to even take the blame for the
problem. Also if you can try to find
solution for the problems. Although
there may be a bad situation, it’s always good to try to find a way to
fix. They may impress your boss and show
that you really care about the situation that’s going on. Being able to take the blame and fix it will
enchant your boss.
